On November 25, 2015, Daikin held an opening ceremony for its new Technology and Innovation Center (TIC) established within Yodogawa Plant in Settsu City, Osaka. Professor Henry Chesbrough led a workshop on Open Innovation, which will be one of the pillars for managers working in the Technology and Innovation Center. The TIC serves as a core facility for technological research and development (R&D) conducted by the Daikin Group and is part of a global expansion of the company’s operations. More than 300 Japanese and overseas customers were invited to the opening ceremony.
