TiE Global appointed Professor Solomon Darwin as the Chief Advisor for Smart Cities. Recently, TiE global held their Silicon Valley Smart Cities Hackathon. The hackathon featured over 120 talented teams from over 10 countries and 50 cities coming together to brainstorm, code and create in the name of a greater social cause. Winning teams have produced technology for waste management issues, especially for developing countries. UC Berkeley’s involvement with TiE Global will help further the student’s education, experience, and relationship with international corporations.
